By accessing and using HostelSync ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Service is provided by DataHase ("we," "us," or "our") to assist hostel owners and managers in managing their hostel operations digitally.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using HostelSync, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
When you create an account with HostelSync, you are responsible for:
You agree not to share your account credentials with anyone else or allow others to access your account. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account.
Your use of HostelSync is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
You retain all rights to the data you input into HostelSync, including occupant information, hostel details, and financial records. We do not claim ownership of your data.
You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data you collect from your occupants or staff is collected lawfully and that you have the necessary permissions to store and process such data using our Service.
HostelSync offers a 60-day free trial for new users. During the trial period, you have full access to all features of the Service.
Trial Terms:
If you do not subscribe to a paid plan before the trial expires, your account will be suspended, and you will have 30 days to export your data before permanent deletion.
HostelSync is a subscription-based service. We offer monthly and annual subscription plans as detailed on our Pricing page. All subscription fees are processed securely via Dodo Payments.
Important Note: Rent collection for occupants is managed manually by users. HostelSync does not process or hold any rent payments from your occupants. Only subscription fees for using the HostelSync platform are processed online.
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the subscription fees.
Refund Policy: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you're not satisfied with HostelSync within the first 7 days of your initial subscription, contact our support team for a full refund. Refunds after this period are at our discretion.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial months or years.
HostelSync Intellectual Property: The Service, including all software, text, graphics, logos, icons, and other materials, is owned by DataHase or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the data and content you upload or create using HostelSync (including occupant information, hostel details, and financial records). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
Feedback: If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you agree that we may use such feedback without any obligation to compensate you.
You agree to use HostelSync only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription through your account settings or by contacting our support team.

We strive to provide reliable and consistent service. However, we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or that it will be uninterrupted.
Scheduled Maintenance: We may perform scheduled maintenance that may temporarily interrupt access to the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of scheduled maintenance.
Service Availability: While we aim for high availability, we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be unavailable due to:

We perform regular automated backups of your data to protect against data loss. However, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data.
Backup Procedures:
Data Recovery: While we make reasonable efforts to maintain backups, we cannot guarantee that all data can be recovered in the event of data loss. We recommend that you regularly export your data using the export features available in the Service.
We are not liable for any data loss that may occur, including but not limited to data loss due to technical failures, user error, or force majeure events.
HostelSync is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Specific Disclaimers:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataHase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or other intangible losses resulting from:
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms that is due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of HostelSync shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiations. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may initiate proceedings.
Jurisdiction: Any legal action or proceeding arising from these Terms or your use of HostelSync shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to the venue of such courts.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that any disputes will be resolved individually and not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.
You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense these Terms or any rights or obligations hereunder without our prior written consent.
We may assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms or any rights or obligations hereunder to any third party, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Your continued use of the Service after such assignment constitutes your acceptance of the assignment.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be replaced with a valid, legal, and enforceable provision that comes closest to the intent of the original provision.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DataHase regarding your use of HostelSync and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, or representations, whether written or oral, concerning the Service.
No modification, amendment, or waiver of any provision of these Terms shall be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties, except as otherwise provided in these Terms.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We may also notify you via email or through the Service.
Your continued use of HostelSync after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription. Material changes will not apply retroactively to disputes that arose prior to the change.
